Leadership Team Member Descriptions

As a PSO Leadership Team, we all work together to do the most good that we can for our MITCH community. We all wear many hats, often serving as committee chairs or stepping up to help each other as is needed.

But here’s an idea of what tasks traditionally each membership team leader takes on:

 

President: Leads the Leadership team, meetings and quarterly work sessions; creates agendas; maintains open communication with the Executive Director and MITCH School Board; works with Leadership team and school staff on activity calendaring; provides support to the rest of the PSO Leadership team as needed; attends monthly meetings and quarterly work sessions *spends on average about 10 hours/month on these duties*

 

Vice-President: Provides backup for President; serves as meeting leader in President’s absence; maintains PSO website; coordinates teacher classroom grant requests; checks PSO post office box regularly; provides support to the rest of the PSO Leadership team as needed; attends monthly meetings and quarterly work sessions *spends on average about 10 hours/month on these duties*

 

Secretary: Keeps minutes of all meetings; keeps record of all meeting paperwork; maintains current PSO members email list; sends out email newsletters; provides support to the rest of the PSO Leadership team as needed; attends monthly meetings and quarterly work sessions *spends on average about 5 hours/month on these duties*

 

Treasurer: Keeps current books for all PSO expenditures and revenue in Quickbooks; main point person for all banking needs; creates and presents the monthly budget report at the PSO meeting; works with the accountant to get tax forms submitted; submits all necessary 503(c)(3) paperwork to the state; provides support to the rest of the PSO Leadership team as needed; attends monthly meetings and quarterly work sessions *spends on average about 5 hours/month on these duties*

 

Members-At-Large: Serve as committee chair during the year if desired; provide support to the rest of the PSO Leadership team as needed; attend monthly meetings and quarterly work sessions *spend on average 2-5 hours/month on these duties*
