Welcome to the 6th Annual MITCH Marathon
Friday, October 18th, 2019
8 am – 1:30 pm
This event will take place rain or shine, is part of the school day and bus transportation will be provided. Students should wear PE uniforms (top can be a PE shirt or a marathon shirt) and comfortable shoes. All students will run/jog/walk a designated 1/5 mile paved loop for 30 minutes. Uberthons will be there again for timing and counting our laps, and providing a fun upbeat event atmosphere with music and cheering.
The goal is for each student to raise $26, as in the total miles of a marathon. Last year the event raised over $20,000! Help us meet our goal this year of $25,000.
Additionally, classes will be working together to run a cumulative 26.2 miles, a FULL MARATHON!! Classes that achieve this goal will earn a special prize!
T-shirts will be available to order for a very limited time!

These shirts can be worn throughout the year on PE days.

We are looking for local businesses to sponsor the costs of running this event. Please print out our 2019 sponsorship letter and help us reach out to our local business community!
We ask that completed sponsorship letters be returned to the PSO by 10-8-19.
The kids love a big crowd cheering them on!
Here’s the race day run times schedule:
- Kindergarten: 8:30 am
- 1st grade: 9:15 am
- 2nd grade: 10:00 am
- 3rd grade: 10:45 am
- 4th grade: 11:30 am
- 5th & 8th grades: 12:15 pm
Following their 30 minutes of running time, each class will have a 15 minute rest and snack break before heading back to MITCH on the bus.

Run/Walk With Your Child!
Parents and guardians are encouraged to enter with a $26 application fee for adults. Raise $26 via the online fundraising site Online Pledging Site or pay by check at the event.
As MITCH PSO’s major fundraiser of the year, we encourage every child to use this opportunity to seek pledges of tax-deductible donations to the MITCH PSO, a non-profit 501(c)3 organization. In addition to the traditional method of filling out the sponsor sheet and collecting checks, parents may choose to add their child’s name(s) to our secure Online Pledging Site and conveniently send the link to friends and family. Donations will be tracked per child, and there is also an option to donate generally. Receipts are automatically generated and emailed for tax purposes.
Help us meet our goal this year of $25,000.
All pledge envelopes need to be returned by Friday October 25, 2019.
